April Mall Haul

Not a big post, or a big haul, but I got some good deals in Polaris the other day, so whatever.

Old Navy $1.97. This shirt is really soft and stretchy, and a perfect flattering top for the price.

I love nautical clothing for some reason, so I splurged a little on this $9.49 Old Navy button-up.

Old Navy $2.97. I'm still considering giving these to my brother, but they're probably for me. I want to think of a way to incorporate them into an actual outfit...

I swear, I have way too many pairs of tights, I'll never wear them all! The two pairs on the left were 97 cents each at Old Navy. I got a woven purple and a solid red pair. The other color they had was an army green and I didn't know what I'd wear them with. The pair on the right was $3.97 at J.C. Penney. I really needed a new pair of mustard yellow tights though, since I wear the pair I got at Claire's a few years ago all the time, and they're finally wearing out.

Shoes for $2.97 at J.C. Penney! I'm not generally a fan of animal prints or textures and they were a little small on me but they're super cute and I'm going to cut off the ends of my toes, so it should be okay.

A new pair of work pants for $6.97 at J.C. Penney. 

I think I got some pretty sweet deals on this trip. I recommend checking out Old Navy right now for sure, because they're getting rid of their Winter stuff pretty hardcore.

March Foreign Grocery Haul

Hola all! Last Sunday, my friend Laurie and I went to see Miniature Tigers in Columbus, and we made a day of it. The pictures didn't come out so great. So that, combined with the fact that I've already reviewed a couple of their shows for my music blog, resulted in my decision to not review the show. I can, however, talk about the cool foreign groceries that I got that day.

This haul is slightly imperfect, since I ate several of the things I got before taking pictures, and some of them, I even destroyed and discarded the packaging to. Nonetheless...

The first place we stopped, I was hoping to pick up some lychee loose leaf tea that I saw the last time I was there, but I couldn't find it. Instead, I got some more of these "mixed nuts," which are really tasty and 99 cents a bag, and some Pejoy (Pocky's friend), which is like inside-out Pocky. It's really tasty and I devoured it before I even got to the show!

Next, we stopped at an Indian grocery, where I spent a grand total of $13.33. I picked up three of these:

Yes, I know this is two. I can count, I'm just a hungry girl.

The one that's missing is Pav Bhaji, I ate it at work. These run $1.99 each, which is less than my local grocery store charges for the watered-down Indian packet curries, and these are really quite good. The Navaratan Korma separated on me for some reason (at the same time as the milk curdled in my tea, like some kind of weird, torturous sign from above), but I'm sure it was my fault. Otherwise, they all tasted great.

I also grabbed this box of Tetley for $4.99, but I goofed a bit. I absolutely love the Tetley I usually get at the local grocery for $7.99, and I kept saying to Laurie that it should be purple, but I trusted my cheapness instead of my ability to see colors, and when I got it home I realized that the purple that I get stands for "British Blend." I have yet to see how close this comes, but Tetley British Blend is the best black tea blend out there.

I also got three kinds of cookies, but you can see what's left there:

These are great, and 89 cents. I saved them for last because I already know I love them. They're like chocolate chip biscuits with orange flavored cream inside, and Felicia even said they taste kind of like a Terry's chocolate orange. The strawberry, which I also tried this time, is not as good. Oh well, live and learn. The third kind of cookies were Jam-In. They were 59 cents and I can't even find a stock photo for them.

So, on the final stop, I spent $9.93.

I also bought a green tea ice cream, which is something I try to get everyone to try. So even though we'd had peach bubble teas, we ate some green tea ice cream with coffee straws.

Mmm. I've got a bit of a thing for green tea flavored stuff right now (99 cents).

I splurged on these for all the wrong reasons. They were $3.29, but I thought they were fizzy candies, which would have been worth it. They're still good, but more like Warheads. The packaging is great though!

As was hinted earlier in the post, lychee is another flavor I'm really into at the moment, and these things are great ($1.49).

They tease me at work about these things all the time. But I love nori, and 99 cents for a three-pack is a steal.

So, just over $20 got me lots of cool stuff to try or to continue my addiction to. This was mostly all stuff I've had before, but I love trying new stuff too!

March Thrift Store Haul

Happy Saturday everyone!! I finally have a Saturday off and it's not blistering cold so, my mom and I decided to go thrift shopping around the Columbus area today! Our favorite part about summer is going garage sailing to search for all the Disney items and since it's still to early for any yard sailing we looked up some thrift store on and around high street to go explore and I must say we were not disappointed by our findings!

 I love to go look through the shelves at a thrift store, but the problem with the stores around us are that they aren't the best places to go looking for the things we buy! Columbus was the perfect place to drive around and just look for a thrift store sign, we had a couple that we had planned on going to like, Out of the Closet on High St. and Volunteers of America which was right off High Street. Here's my haul:

At this dinky little Thrift shop we stopped at while driving, my mom found this huge Aladdin picture for me! I'm super excited about it and I think it's my favorite of all my finds today, especially since it was originally $10 and it was marked down to $5 so I didn't even think about whether or not to buy it, I just did!

At Out of the Closet I found a Tinkerbell soap dispenser and toothbrush holder. The soap dispenser will go in my kitchen because I already have a Little Mermaid themed bathroom, and I haven't decided what to do with the matching toothbrush holder, but I'm sure I'll find something! These were $1 each, which is reasonable. I found the Disney Cruise Line beer mug at Volunteers of America for $1.91, I love cups and I love Disney so this was the perfect find!

Next is a Lion King collectors plate, which my mom found but graciously let me have, at Goodwill on High Street. I snagged this for $3.99! While I was still at Out of the Closet I found a Disney California Adventure magnet and a "Come back to the magic" Disneyland button that will join my wall of buttons! I bought these for $1 each.

 I'm so happy I found this cup! The Salvation Army here in town had the set of these cups for $8 each, which considering this cup only cost me $0.50 at Volunteers of America, was a crazy price so, I'm glad I passed on those and snagged this for a mere two quarters! What a bargain!

 Volunteers of America was a good find for both of us, I found these cards new and sealed in the box for $1.90. They were just so cute I couldn't pass them up! They came with 4 different sayings, Keep Calm and Eat A Cupcake (which is my favorite!), Keep Calm and Have A Cocktail, Keep Calm and Carry On, and Keep Calm and Tweet On. Again, they were just too cute to pass up!








At Goodwill we found these wine glasses which has the Eagle, Globe and Anchor of the U.S Marines printed on it along with Semper fidelis. My younger brother is in the U.S Marines so my mom and I picked up 6 of these glasses for $0.99 each.

 Here are my mom's findings! Right in front is a glass Sorcerer Mickey, he's broken and missing his rainbow but he is incredibly cute! I found this piece and made the bad decision to let my mom see it because I didn't get it back! She was hesitant about buying it because it was only $2.99 but he is in rough shape but she bought it anyways, probably because she knew that if she didn't get it I would! 

On top is a 2012 Christmas snow globe which she found at Goodwill for $.99. It's a cute little snow globe that will go well with her huge collection! At Out of the Closet with my button and magnet, she found a 10th anniversary of the Disney Store button for $1. At the dinky little shop we found my Aladdin picture at she found a 1900 Park Fare button, which she was thrilled about, for $1.

Again at Volunteers of America, my mom spotted this beautiful Mickey's 60th Birthday collectors plate. Out of my mom's findings I think this may be her favorite, one because 1988 was the year of her very first trip to Walt Disney World, and two because it was only $4.99, which for it originally being a $30 plate is awesome!







It was a wonderful day for shopping, I spent a wonderful $20 and my mom spent $15, we walked around 7 thrift stores so of course a couple were a bust but for all that we bought it was a good haul!
