2014 KLUTCHclub Best of Women's Box Review

Yeah, that's right, I got another KLUTCHclub box, you wanna make something of it? Just kidding, but man, I got this box ages ago, I'm really behind. I've been slowing down on boxes for a couple of reasons: 1) I might be moving soon and 2) I've been nonstop playing the South Park: The Stick of Truth game since Felicia (F.M.) loaned it to me. But anyway, I'm finally back from that (the latter at least).

First Look

So every Best of Women's box I've gotten has been pretty different, and pretty worthwhile. I paid around $10 for this box and I feel like I got a great deal.

I can always use some new razors, and although I did have a negative experience with BIC razors when I was twelve, maybe I'm mature enough to not just rip it up my leg now (wouldn't count on it though). This one has moisturizing strips though, so it should be much easier to not injure myself.

These weren't the best potato chips I've ever had, although they weren't terrible. I'd rather stick to Pop chips.

These are a repeat, and a gelatin one at that, so I'm going to try to find them another home.

I've never had sweet soybeans, so this was a little weird. The chocolate on them was pretty good, but the soybean flavor met my expectations in not really fitting with the chocolate.

More lovely Taylors teas. I still haven't tried the last couple I got, but they look expensive, so I'm sure they're good.

I've tried the peach so far, and it was good as pouch foods go, but dang, why does everyone love what is essentially baby food so much?

Another play-dough bar! This will not be eaten by me by any stretch of the imagination.

I learned that I can't do energy drinks, so this too will be passed along to someone.

I'd just purchased some black cherry Zevia the night before this box came. The cola flavor is even better I think! I like this stuff. It's sweetened with Stevia, so it tastes sweet, but with no calories.

And finally, this is my first box of Energems. They're good. Much less painful than the energy drink I had, and they taste delicious. There's a hint of the Mexican chocolate taste in there, but also the mint and just a little bit of the "energy drink" bitterness.

I think this box is a lot of fun! I would probably subscribe if I had the money to.

April 2014 Birchbox Review

Felicia (F.M.) already reviewed her mom's Birchbox, but luckily mine is almost completely different! So I can still share with you a review of my box this month!  Birchbox is $10 a month, and features a variety of beauty items.

I debated about whether or not to get a box, and I think that's why it ended up being so late in the month that I got mine. The last two have appeared a lot sooner!

Every box came with "bright ideas for a rainy day," and of course mine was to create a playlist! Totally, Birchbox, it's like you know me.

You know the drill. Breakfast.

The next thing I got was this Cynthia Rowley eyeliner, and it is niiiiice. My eyeliner that I've had for a few years is Rimmel, and although it's dark enough, it wears off pretty quickly (my eyes water for no reason). So I drew a line of this on my hand and not only is it dark, but it didn't wash off completely in the bath. Maybe that says something about my bathing standards, but I'm gonna hope it says more about the product.

The other thing that was in the little envelope was this cc cream by Supergoup! I'm really not an expert in face-type stuffs, but it seems to normalize my skin tone and add a faint color. Also, and my favorite part is, it's very lightweight and you can't really tell you're wearing it. The way foundation feels sticky and gross is what's been driving me away from foundations all my life. Well, that and the fact that I have relatively even skin and don't want to ruin it with cloggers (of pores, not the dancers).

This stuff was great. I was running bath water when I got my box because my hair looked too greasy, and after spraying this stuff on, I really could have pretended to be clean already. Baths are a good idea too though. I guess.

Haven't tried this yet. It's supposed to conquer blackheads and redness, but I'm not feeling poorly enough about myself to say which part of my face deserves this treatment.

I really liked this month's box! It's pretty much all stuff that will work for me in one way or the other. I really feel like this box was custom-tailored to me! So far, Birchbox is 2 for 3, and I've signed up for another month, so I'm curious to see how the score continues.

Medium Fancy Mystery Box Review

                            

Here's another Fancy mystery box for you! My mom ordered the medium sized mystery box this time around, which was around $28 with shipping. I'm so jealous of this box!! I liked my Fancy box but I'm super jealous of this one!!

This is the main reason why I was so jealous of this box. Who doesn't love neon nail polish?! This is Ciaté neon nail polish and it runs about $25 at Sephora. Luckily I have a mother who loves me and allows me to use her nail polish! 

                               

The bottle with the pretty blue ribbon on it is the pink polish, the bottle beside it is glitter that you pour onto your nails and the top bottle is the top coat polish. 

                                 

This is a Christmas candle, I don't have much to say about it. It does smell good, which is a plus!

                           

Next is this awesome cup!! I mean look at it!!

                            

It's so cool!! There isn't much to say about this either just that it's an awesome mug!!

                           

Last but not least is this book, "Stuff Every Women Should Know" this is a cute little book, small enough to carry around in your purse!

                           

This is the first page of the book, this is why it's small enough to carry in your purse! This is a handy little book filled with things like how to change a tire, to what kind of drink to have on a first date! It's a cute little book!

March 2014 Special Fancy Box Review (Men's and Women's)

Happy April Fools Day everyone! I hope you didn't trust anyone too much today! My mom got her special edition Fancy boxes a couple days ago and I'm finally going to share it with you all! She was so excited about this Fancy box that she ordered both the men's and women's Fancy box, both were around $20 after shipping costs. I'm going to do both the men's and the women's so, let's start! 

We decided to open the purple one first because we thought the purple one was the women's box, so here's the first look!

These were huge boxes for the little amount of product inside the box. I really liked the box design but it just seemed wastful.

                                                 

The first thing is this "Work hard stay humble" wall sticker. My mom wasn't too thrilled by this, she doesn't know what to do with it or where to put it. I told her that I didn't even think I liked it enough to steal it from here! I'm sure we will find some use for it though! 

Here's where we find out that this is the men's fancy box! This is a small package of aftershave, which my parents like to travel so I'm sure it will get used!

If you haven't used these, you need to find one and use it. It is a head massager and to me it is the strangest feeling thing you could ever put on your head! My mom liked it and my dad wasn't really sure about it. 

The last (and most exciting) gift was this Aqua Pouch Speaker which is a waterproof MP3/smartphone player. This was the best gift in the whole box. 

Down at the bottom were these cute little stickers and a business card. That's all for the men's, so let's move on to the women's! 

This one is a bright orange box and has the same first look as the men's. 

Again, it's a very big box for just a few items. 

I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the box for the men's so here's the women's! It wasn't too much different. 

                                                 

As you can imagine, we were so "excited" to see another "Work hard stay humble" wall sticker! Again, meh.

                                                 

Next is this very durable credit card holder by Laex which will no doubt go in the "vacation" pile! This card holder will cost you $27 which is a bit expensive for my taste! 

                                                  

On the back it says "stay foolish" which I'm not sure why but I really like it! 

                                                  

Next are these adorable notebooks! Hey everyone needs cute notebooks right? I usually find a reason to carry one if it's cute enough! I tried to steal these from my mom but she liked them just as much as me so no go! She did offer me a wall sticker though....

                                                   

I, unfortunately, can and do live by this statement! I love it and I think it's my favorite out of the whole box!

Last but not least, nail polish! My favorite! This China Glaze color is a beautiful platinum silver that my mom loved. I will definitley be stealing this on occasion!
